ROME, THE ORIGIN: THE LEGEND OF ROMULUS AND REMUS THROUGH COMIC.

'The Classical World,. Rome: Origin, stages in the history of Rome' is one of the most trandescental units within the contents in 1º ESO, as this period laid the foundations of our civilization nowadays.

1º ESO bilingual students, in the History lesson and with the help of their teacher, have illustrated the origin and foundation of Rome through the legend of Romulus and Remus.

Below you can see a selection of the best works the students have made with great interest and dedication.

HEALTHY BREAKFAST

Healthy Breakfast is a transversal content activity (English, Maths, Biology) developed with the bilingual 1st and 3rd ESO groups in February in the school's cafeteria.

The objective has been to work on the importance of a healthy breakfast for our teenagers, using the English language as a means of communication leading to a linguistic immersion around the breakfast table. In addition, it has given us the opportunity to create good coexistence practices among students of different levels.

The students of 3rd ESO have been the leaders in the development of the activity through different actions: conducting surveys, passing on information about the food healthy breakfast should include (nutrients and functions) and also conducting various games (the breakfast tray, food pyramid game, food wheel puzzle, bookmark design and a board game about good food feeds). All this was aimed at first year students, thus promoting oral skills around healthy habits.
Bilingual teachers, the conversation assistant as well as the students in English practice and Spanish Language Practicum have collaborated in the development of this activity.

Human Rights Project

International Human Rights Day is celebrated every December 10 to promote the rights and freedoms of people in the world.

This course, to celebrate the 71st anniversary of its Declaration, from the Bilingual Program we have wanted to promote a series of actions with the objective of making these Rights visible to the entire educational community. Surprisingly, only 5% of the world's population has read these Human Rights at least once in their lives. It is for this reason, and with the aim of increasing this percentage, that the students of 1st bilingual ESO, with the help of their history teacher, have created 30 posters that read each of the Articles both in English and Spanish and which have been placed in the classroom doors. In addition, the same students have read them in both languages. To complete this interdisciplinary project, the students of 2nd bilingual ESO in the Technology class have designed the images and video that we show you below.

Thanksgiving!

Decorated Turkey Competition one more year! 

The students in 1º ESO bilingual have decorated the turkeys and 1º and 2º have written what they are thankful for in life.

World Toilet Day

World Toilet Day is celebrated on 19th November and it has been the desire of the Bilingual Programme to delve into all the problems caused by the absence of sanitation, as 4.2 billion people in the world still do not have access to a toilet.

One of the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 is access to clean water and sanitation. Only when the entire world population has this, can article 25 of the Human Rights, in which the right to health is discussed, be fulfilled.

   The "Pee, Poo and Paper" campaign, organized by the EMA, gave a workshop in English to students of 1st and 2nd bilingual ESO, which emphasized the need not to throw in the toilet nothing but what the campaign motto preaches.
